Biography
Kira Astakhova is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark where she has been a faculty member since 2012. She holds PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry and Professorship in Computational Synthetic Biology. Kira completed her Ph.D. at Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Moscow, Russia, and her undergraduate studies at Higher Chemical Colledge of Russian Academy of Sciences.
Research Interest
Her research interests lie in the area of intermolecular recognition, ranging from theory to design and implementation, with a focus on improving diagnostic assays and fundamental understanding on biomolecular interactions.
