Biography
Dr Shang-Ming Zhou is a Senior Lecturer with the Farr Institute of Health Informatics, National Centre for Population Health and Wellbeing Research at Swansea University Medical School, UK. Dr Zhou has served as an associate editor or member of editorial boards for a number of journals. His research interests include machine learning, computational intelligence, data mining and big data analytics in biomedical informatics, epidemiology, pharmacovigilance and public health. He is particularly interested in how to use machine learning, data mining and big data analytics techniques to extract useful information from electronic health records, genetic and genomic data in the interests of promoting healthier life styles, improving decision making and preventing diseases
