Biography
Tao Wang obtained her first degree in Medicine in China Medical University (Shenyang, P.R. China, 1986) and a PhD degree in the Cardiovascular Medicine in Beijing Medical University (now Peking University Health Science Centre, Beijing, P.R. China, 1991). She practiced as a physician Cardiologist in the 3rd Hospital of Peking University between 1986 and 1992. She moved to the University of Cambridge in 1992 and worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in the Clinical Pharmacology Unit of Department of Medicine, and then in the Department of Medical Genetics and Cambridge Institute for Molecular Medicine (CIMR). She joined the University of Manchester in 2003 as a University Research Fellow, then a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer.
